Description
The Solís Family is living out their dream of producing wines in some of the most emblematic wine regions in the country with Pagos del Rey, a company that started out in 1975 in Valdepeñas and currently has wineries in Rueda, Toro, Rioja and Ribera del Duero. The latter is located in Olmedillo de Roa (Burgos), in the heart of the Denomination of Origin, and is a newly built winery where tradition meets modernity.
Altos de Tamarón Reserva is made with a selection of the best grapes. 40-year-old vineyards where the strains produce a maximum of 4 or 5 clusters of small and concentrated grapes. A low but high quality yield that is carefully selected at harvest and collected by hand.
The Altos de Tamarón Reserva grapes reach the winery and undergo cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 26 and 28ºC. Then there is a 10-day post-fermentation maceration. Aging takes place over 24 months in French and American oak barrels and, once bottled, it is refined for a further 12 months before going to market.
Altos de Tamarón Reserva is a reserva red wine made for all those who want to enjoy the structure and elegance that is so typical of Ribera del Duero wines.
