Description
Two Paddocks Pinot Noir 2024 is crafted from a blend of estate-grown fruit sourced across the winery’s organically certified vineyards. The 2024 vintage enjoyed an excellent growing season, with warm, settled weather and cool nights producing beautifully balanced fruit with superb concentration, freshness, and aromatic complexity. Hand-harvested grapes are fermented using a proportion of whole bunches with indigenous yeasts before gentle maturation in French oak barrels, around 20–25% of which are new. Extended lees ageing and careful blending preserve the distinctive character of each vineyard while creating a harmonious, refined wine.
The nose is wonderfully expressive, revealing aromas of wild cherry, raspberry, red plum, and cranberry layered with rose petals, thyme, baking spice, and subtle earthy notes. The palate is silky and finely textured, with vibrant red berry fruit supported by supple tannins, lively acidity, and a beautifully integrated mineral backbone. Hints of forest floor, clove, and savoury spice linger through a long, elegant finish that reflects the unmistakable character of Central Otago.
